1701 Macombs Road

Titan Development and Construction is leading the multi-phase redevelopment of 1701 Macombs Road in the Bronx, transforming the site into a new medical facility for Essen Health Care, with TPD Architecture, PLLC as architect. The project has required careful planning, coordination with city agencies, and seamless execution across multiple construction phases.

The project began with the safe demolition of an existing one-story retail building — asbestos abatement, utility disconnections, debris removal, and below-grade clearance, all while protecting adjacent properties. Deep excavation and rock removal followed, with support-of-excavation systems installed to prepare the ground for foundation work. Titan then constructed reinforced concrete foundations, a complete waterproofing system, and underground plumbing infrastructure.

Phase 2 covers the entire vertical construction of the new facility through final finishes: concrete and steel framing for the full above-grade structure; exterior walls, cladding, and insulation; complete HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems; interior framing, drywall, flooring, ceilings, and millwork; elevators; and final roofing and waterproofing. By self-performing and managing all trades, Titan is delivering the project from foundation to final finish.

Throughout all phases, Titan has maintained strict compliance with NYC Department of Buildings regulations, including engineered safety systems such as fencing, sidewalk protection, and debris chutes. Environmental safety measures, including air monitoring and abatement procedures, were completed with precision and care.
